I took these the other evening at Dan Smith’s farm.  We really have alot of deer this year.  There were 15 Bucks and 2 Does in the field.

Today was Barrett’s 1st day of school!!!  He seemed to have fun.  What we could get out of him.

These flowers were a big surprise.  We thought what had been growing there this spring had died.  This spring there was green foliage all over the ground,  but no flowers.  Slowly they just wilted away and vanished.  To our surprise these all came up this week.  They have a couple names but my favorite is Naked Lady.  They are called this because they don’t have any leaves at all.  The leaves all died out in early spring.  They are also called surprise Lilies.  I guess because you are so surprised when the flowers appear.  They are sometimes called a magic lilies also.  They are very pretty.

Luna Silk Moth

This huge moth landed in the pool.  It was after dark when the kids were swimming.  It looked like a bird was flopping in the water.  We saved it and took a couple pictures.  I had to look up what kind of moth it was.  I found out it’s called the Luna silk moth.  They are common but rarely seen.  They are only an adult moth for up to 5 days.  During that time they breed and lay eggs.  It’s wing span was almost 5 inches.  It was huge!!!  The adults don’t eat,  so they don’t have mouths.  Pretty cool sighting!!  I love living in the country!!  Amy was just watching TV and told me that the Lunesta commercial has this moth on it.  How cool!!  The Lunesta  Moth visited my house.  So I guess we are going to sleep great tonight!!!!!

We have alot of Hummers!!!  I’m practicing my camera skills.  If I get some cool shots, I’ll post some more.

This is a picture of Dan Smith with my 50 Caliber Barrett.  The next set of pictures is what it looks like to shoot a beer keg with it.  Awsome!!!!!  We took these pictures a couple years ago.  David shot and I took pictures.
